Super Bowl: Brady Practices With Patriots, Jogs Length of Field

Super Bowl: Brady Practices With Patriots, Jogs Length of Field

Jan. 29--PHOENIX --There was a Tom Brady sighting Monday at Sun Devil Stadium, and there was nothing New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick could do to keep it a secret.

With a pool reporter present per NFL rule during Super Bowl week workouts, Brady's injured right ankle did not prevent him from practicing Monday afternoon. Brady's ankle was taped, but the Patriots quarterback participated in all phases of practice -- even jogging the lenwgth of the field twice at the end of drills. According to the pool report, Brady did appear to have a slight limp.

When Belichick met with reporters later, he had little to say about Brady's health.

"He was out there along with everybody else," Belichick said.

Belichick and the Patriots do not have to issue an official injury report on Brady -- or anyone else -- until Wednesday.

At least one member of the Giants, veteran defensive end Michael Strahan, shrugged off Brady's injury.

"We're all limping," Strahan said. "He's gonna play. He's gonna play his butt off. That's what we expect. I'm limping. My ankle hurts. My hip hurts. My back. My neck. Shoulders. Everything hurts on everybody.

"You guys (media) just seem to care about quarterbacks more than you do about anybody else."

Circus, what circus?

The bright lights and glitter of Super Bowl week have caused more than one player to get distracted before big game in past seasons. And the Giants are in the Super Bowl for the first time in seven seasons. No problem, Strahan says.

"We've been to parties. We know celebrities," Strahan said. "We're in New York City. It's the biggest party place in the country. In the world. This is peanuts compared to that."
