Report: Crennel, Browns Agree to Extension

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Browns and head coach Romeo Crennel have reportedly agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer, citing Crennel's agent, said the agreement came Monday night. It runs through the 2011 campaign and is believed to be worth around $4 million per season.

Crennel still had two years left on his original five-year deal.

The Browns failed to make the playoffs this past season, but demonstrated marked improvement en route to a 10-6 record. In three years in Cleveland, Crennel has compiled a 20-28 record overall.
