Afghan Paper Accuses Pakistan of Supporting Terrorism

Afghan Paper Accuses Pakistan of Supporting Terrorism

Jan 27, 12:55 AM

Text of editorial in Dari: "Pakistan's government is a terrorist administration", published by independent Afghan newspaper Arman-e Melli on 26 January

Following the mysterious killing of Benazir Bhutto, former prime minister and the leader of the People's Party of Pakistan, the majority of Pakistan's political organizations accused Gen Musharraf [President of Pakistan] and his intelligence agency of being involved in the conspiracy of killing Mrs Bhutto.

Following the incident, Mr Musharraf has been making efforts to clear the dust of suspicion from the minds of the public and politicians on the global scene but failed to prevent the accusations and contradictory stances and remarks that his country now seriously suffers from a lack of confidence among the people of Pakistan and the world.

For that purpose, Mr Musharraf, who again became the president by deception, hastily visited European countries to portray his black face as a right face and reduce the level of the Europeans' distrust.

In this trip, while attracting the attention of the European countries to his government, Musharraf once again forgot the dark history of Pakistan's relations with the Taleban and international terrorists. At a news conference in France, he, with absolute shamelessness, said that Al-Qa'idah bases were, in fact, located in Afghanistan and that Al-Qa'idah infiltrated Waziristan of Pakistan from Afghanistan and undermined the stability of his country.

Musharraf's remarks come at the time when a number of Pakistan's political organizations see his government as a terrorist administration involved in the killing of Ms Bhutto and hatching conspiracies against the entire political leaders in Pakistan.

Likewise, Pakistani intelligence service's close relations with international terrorist groups and the fact that these groups are controlled and equipped on Pakistani soil, is the evidence that does not require an explanation. This is because the international community has repeatedly been putting pressure on the Pakistani officials to renounce support for terrorists and avoid political games in the antiterrorist efforts.

The scope of support to and cooperation of Pakistan's intelligence agencies with terrorists has now reached an extent that it started to backfire, and those groups are now shedding the blood of Pakistani people and streets and roads in Pakistani cities are being run red with blood.

However, despite that, a number of Pakistani politicians, like Musharraf, have not stopped enmity with the people of Afghanistan and continue their hostile strategy.

In view of these reservations, we expect the Afghan officials not to be deceived by the Pakistanis' political and poisonous laughter and using the documents and evidence collected during the painful terrorist and suicide attacks, introduce to the world the Pakistani government as a terrorist administration and remove the veil from its dark face.
