Rebels Send Peace Invite to Clooney

GEORGE CLOONEY hasn't had to wait long for his first job as a UN messenger of peace.

The day after he was given the role Nigerian rebels invited the Hollywood star to visit them.

Their Niger Delta homeland has been hit by two years of fighting, bombing and kidnappings.

Clooney, 46, right, has campaigned for aid and an end to war in Darfur, Sudan.
