BRIEF: Education Company Receives $1M Grant

Jan. 19--Tucson-based Science Approach was awarded a $1 million grant from the National Science Foundation to bring geographic technology to American middle- and high-school students.

The educational-development company will work with 90 science teachers to explore how scientists use technology to monitor the ecology of ocean coastlines, with a goal of training 30 teachers to use geographic information systems to investigate NSF ocean research.
