Missing Marine Claimed Death a Suicide

Christina Laurean has reportedly been cooperating with police, while her husband's whereabouts are unknown. In search warrant affidavits released Thursday, investigators described a conversation she allegedly had with her husband while they were on their way to see his lawyer, the Raleigh News & Observer reported.

Christina Laurean said that when her husband asked Are you with me on this? she responded I do not know. Is there anything you have not told me?

Her husband then told her that Lauterbach came to see him on Dec. 15, asking for money. He said he drove her to the bus station but she returned to the house some hours later and seemed disoriented.

Investigators say that Lauterbach was actually killed by a blow to the head.

Laurean disappeared a few hours before Lauterbach's body and the remains of her fetus were found in his backyard. He is believed to have fled to Mexico, his birthplace. Missing Marine Claimed Death a Suicide
