Brazilian President Meets Castro, Offers Credits

HAVANA, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Tuesday held talks with Cuban leader Fidel Castroand offered the Caribbean nation millions of dollars in credit.

The talks came at the end of a 24-hour visit to the nation by Lula, who met earlier with Cuban Defense Minister Raul Castro at the Palace of the Revolution government house in Havana.

The two countries signed several deals to boost bilateral economic ties.
