Jan. 8--It was not a happy holiday season for Detroit rap king Eminem.

TMZ .com reported Tuesday that Eminem was rushed to an unnamed Detroit-area hospital sometime during the Christmas/New Year period for a serious heart condition and severe pneumonia.

The rapper's weight has ballooned to over 200 lbs., TMZ.com added.

Em's publicist told TMZ: "Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, was under doctor's care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia. He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home."
