ROCKER Ozzy Osbourne complained furiously after US cops used his name in a sting to catch crooks on the run.

Sheriff Paul D Laney, of Cass County, North Dakota, sent 40 wanted criminals bogus invites to meet Ozzy, 58, at a preconcert party.

When the baddies arrived they were met by police, who put them in handcuffs.

But Ozzy slammed the sheriff's plot as "lazy".

And he stormed: "He tarnished my reputation by implying I attract a criminal element.

"It's insulting. My audiences are good, hard-working people."

Laney said: "The criminals are creative, so we had to get creative too."
