Current Headlines: CABLE TV show Dog The Bounty Hunter has been taken off the air in the US after its star was caught repeatedly using racist language.

Tough-guy Duane "Dog" Chapman was taped calling his son Tucker's girlfriend a "n*****".

His lawyer said the chat was recorded by Tucker, who sold it for "a lot of money". The star later apologised, he said.

Dog The Bounty Hunter - shown on Bravo in the UK - follows Chapman and his crew as they track down bail jumpers in Hawaii and other states.

US TV network A&E said the series had been taken off-air "for the foreseeable future" but had not been cancelled.
