Murder Suspect Escapes Texas Jail

Current Headlines: A slaying suspect remained at large after passing himself off as his cellmate and walking out of the Bexar County Jail in San Antonio.

Sheriff Roland Tafolla said release procedures at the jail would be looked over after David Sauceda posed as his cellmate and was released Sunday, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

Sauceda had about a six-hour head start before authorities realized he was missing and could not be found.

We have no idea where he is, Tafolla said Sunday night.

Sauceda, 27, who has a small tattoo of an Aztec temple on his chin, was charged with murder, aggravated robbery, burglary with intent to commit assault and a parole violation. He is considered armed and dangerous.
