Lunch Break Science Program's Topics Are Announced

Current Headlines: The science of protective clothing, the connection between family history and cancer prevention, and the science of diving are some of the topics that will be covered in the Lunch Break Science program at the Science Museum of Virginia, 2500 W. Broad St.

The free programs are held from noon to 1 p.m. The dates and topics are:

Nov. 7: "Why Family History is Important to Health."

Nov. 14: "Family History and the Prevention of Cancer."

Nov. 28: "Science Road: The Coattails of Magic."

Dec. 5: "The Science of Diving."

Dec. 12: "Family of Invention: Searching for the Airplane in the Wright Brothers' Attic."

Dec. 19: "Protecting First Responders from Terrorism - The Science of Protective Clothing."
