Space for More Science Lessons

Current Headlines: Children should be taught about space tourism in the science lessons of the future, a poll suggested today.

The research found nanotechnology and cutting-edge research into dark matter were among the topics that science graduates thought should be covered in class in 10 years' time.

The top subjects for including in future science lessons were climate change, new fuel technology and scientific reasoning.

The Training and Development Agency for Schools surveyed 250 adults with degrees in science.

Graham Holley, TDA chief executive, said:

"We hope to inspire even more students and graduates to think about the rewards of a career in science teaching."
