Current Headlines: Jay-Z , who rarely tours, will take to the road next month to promote his new album, "American Gangster," Reuters reported. During his five concerts, the rapper will perform only material from the album, which is inspired by, but not directly affiliated with, the crime drama starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe that opens throughout the world this fall and winter. Jay-Z, the president of Def Jam Records, will appear in Los Angeles on Nov. 6 , followed by Chicago, Baltimore, New York and Philadelphia. Originally published by The New York Times Media Group.
