Reggae Star Killed in Johannesburg ; WORLD IN BRIEF

Current Headlines: LUCKY DUBE, a leading South African reggae musician, has been shot dead in the Rosettenville suburb of Johannesburg. He was attacked by armed robbers last night in a suspected car-jacking as he dropped his son off at his uncle's house.

Dube's son was already out of the car when three men approached and opened fire. He saw what happened, and ran for help, Captain Cheryl Engelbrecht said.

Dube released his 21st and most recent album, Respect, in April.
