Red-Hot Rockies Eye Sweep: Catcher Yorvit Torrealba Says He's ?Living a Dream.'

Oct. 15--DENVER -- Get the brooms ready.

The Colorado Rockies are one game away from sweeping the Arizona Diamondbacks in the National League Championship Series.

That became a reality when Colorado upended Arizona 4-1 Sunday night at a cold and rainy Coors Field.

The hero for Colorado was Yorvit Torrealba.

The Colorado catcher blasted a three-run homer to left field in the sixth inning, powering the Rockies to the victory.

"I'm living a dream right now," Torrealba said.

Game 4 is at 8:18 p.m. today at Coors Field and will be broadcast on TBS. At stake for the Rockies is their inaugural trip to the World Series.

"We just have to take one game at a time," Arizona manager Bob Melvin said. "That has been what we have done all year and that is not going to change. The flip side doesn't look very good right now, but we can't worry about that, We just have to get one win on the board and go from there."

The Rockies have won 20 of their last 21 games.

Matt Holliday, who was 1-for-8 at the plate in Games 1 and 2, gave Colorado a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first frame Sunday when he crushed a 1-0 pitch from Livan Hernandez over the left-field fence.

"This series, I've pretty much been awful," Holliday said. "I did OK in the first series, but I hadn't had any hits (in this series). I'm happy I got some hits and made it a little easier on our pitchers."

Mark Reynolds of the Diamondbacks countered to the tie the game at 1-all in the top of the fourth inning by blasting a two-out homer to left.

Todd Helton drew a lead-off walk in the sixth inning and Brad Hawpe singled with one out bringing Troy Tulowitzki to the plate, but he struck out looking on a 2-2 slider. Torrealba was up next and he worked a full count off of Hernandez before smashing a three-run homer 402 feet into the left-field bleachers.

Torrealba's rise to postseason fame is well-deserved. He spent five seasons with the San Franciso Giants and part of the 2005 campaign with the Seattle Mariners, but he was never considered a No. 1 catcher by either organization. He joined the Rockies in 2006 and he finally beat out Chris Iannetta midway through this season to gain the starting position.
