Oct. 12--Don't worry, ladies. Orlando Bloom will continue to make hearts flutter even after his minor car wreck.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star was involved in a fender bender early Friday morning (Oct. 12), reports TMZ.com.

Bloom's rep released the following statement about the accident: "Orlando Bloom, who was in a minor car collision late last night, is grateful that no one was seriously injured. Bloom called for help immediately following the incident. He spent last night at the hospital to be with his childhood friend who sustained a minor neck injury. He is thankful that emergency services arrived so quickly and that the ER staff at Cedars Sinai took such good care of his friend."

Bloom, 30, was driving a black Toyota Matrix registered under the name Dariusz Wolski, the director of photography for the "Pirates" films.

Earlier in the evening, Bloom was at the Green Door in Hollywood. At around 2:15 a.m., LAPD arrived to investigate the collision between the Matrix and a Porsche Cayenne near Fountain and Vista in Los Angeles.

Bloom's last film was the third "Pirates" installment this past summer. He's reportedly taking a break from his hectic movie-making schedule.
