Skydiving Plane Missing Near Yakima

Current Headlines: A plane carrying at least eight skydivers was missing Monday in Washington's Yakima County.

The plane was reported overdue Sunday night after disappearing from radar in the Rimrock Lake area west of Yakima.

The Yakima Herald-Republican said a camper in the area told police he had heard a plane that sounded like it was having engine problems fly over followed by the sound of what might have been a crash.

The Seattle Times said the skydivers were from the Snohomish area and had been returning from a parachute event in Boise. The single-engine Cessna 208 Caravan has a capacity of 10 people.
