3 Suspects Held in Memphis Player's Death

Current Headlines: Three men in their 20s were questioned by Memphis police Monday in the shooting death of University of Memphis football player Taylor Bradford.

Bradford, 21, had $7,400 cash on him when he was found dead inside his vehicle, which had struck a tree on the campus, Sept. 30.

Police had been seeking the three occupants of a car spotted near Bradford's dorm the night of the shooting, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported.

No charges had been filed against the suspects Monday, the newspaper said. They were arrested on Sunday.

Bradford was a junior transfer defensive lineman from Samford University and had not played this season for the Tigers.
