Current Headlines: SCIENCE fiction fans are in for a treat when a top author visits Birmingham next Friday.

Andy Remic, author of the acclaimed novel Solaris, will be sharing his experiences with the Birmingham Science Fiction Group at 7.45pm at the Britannia Hotel, New Street.

A spokesman for the group said: "He can kill a man with a single blow, but prefers writing and hacking computer systems."
