Current Headlines: Stolen da Vinci painting recovered GLASGOW , Scotland, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Police in Glasgow, Scotland, have recovered Madonna with the Yarnwinder, a painting by Leonardo da Vinci worth about $60 million and stolen four years ago.

Three men from Lancashire, England, and one from Glasgow were arrested when officers recovered the famed painting, which had been snatched from the Duke of Buccleuch's estate near Thornhill, in Dumfries and Galloway, the BBC reported Friday.

The painting had been in the Buccleuch family for almost 200 years and its theft sparked a worldwide search, with the FBI putting the painting on its list of 10 most wanted pieces of stolen artwork.

Art experts confirmed the painting found in Glasgow was the one stolen in August 2003.

Police, acting on intelligence reports, intercepted a meeting between five people in the center of Glasgow and the painting was recovered at the scene.

Investigators have not disclosed further details, but it is understood a deal for the sale of the painting may have been in the works.

The suspects were scheduled to appear in Dumfries Sheriff Court.

The recovery of the painting comes a month after the death of the Duke of Buccleuch, who died in September at 83.

O'Donnell says she was fired from 'View' NEW YORK, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Rosie O'Donnell said during an appearance at a New York comedy club that she was fired from her moderator job on The View last season.

O'Donnell and View Executive Producer Barbara Walters have previously said the decision was mutual for O'Donnell to leave the television talk show before her contract ended.

But when the stand-up comic was invited to take the stage at the downtown Manhattan club Comix Wednesday night, during Roseanne Barr's set, O'Donnell started off with, When I was fired by Barbara Walters ..., the New York Daily News reported Friday.

O'Donnell then claimed Walters and other View panelists wear earpieces so producers can tell them what to say, which O'Donnell said she declined to do.

Despite their differences, O'Donnell went on to say she and Walters had been very close when she first started working on the show, the Daily News article said.

She paved the way for women, O'Donnell noted. She interviewed presidents ...

Like Abraham Lincoln, quipped Barr.

Last spring, O'Donnell announced that she would not return to The View for a second season.

She ended up leaving before her contract ended, however, after an on-air, verbal dust-up with conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Bonaduce cleared in Fairplay fight LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- The LA County District Attorney's office doesn't plan to pursue a case against ex-child star Danny Bonaduce in connection with his brawl with Jonny Fairplay.

Fairplay, who was a contestant on Survivor, reportedly jumped on Bonaduce after Bonaduce insulted him at the Fox Reality Channel's Really Awards in Los Angeles this week.

Bonaduce flipped Fairplay over his shoulder, injuring Fairplay and knocking out a couple of his teeth. Fairplay was taken to the hospital, where police were called.

They investigated a felony battery, with Bonaduce as the chief suspect, but the District Attorney's office rejected the case, stating in a document obtained by TMZ, there was Insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

Wilson attends LA 'Darjeeling' premiere LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Actor Owen Wilson attended the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie The Darjeeling Limited Thursday night.

The premier was Wilson's first major public appearance since he reportedly tried to commit suicide in August.

Although he did not chat with reporters on the red carpet, Wilson was greeted with applause when he joined his co-stars Adrien Brody, Jason Schwartzman and Anjelica Huston on-stage before the screening, People.com reported Friday.

Describing Wilson as my best friend, director Wes Anderson told the audience, I've never made a movie without him and I hope I never have to.

I have to say, I have a crush on Owen, Huston told People.com before Wilson joined her for a few moments in the front row, then exited the theater before the screening began.

Huston has also worked with Wilson on Anderson's films The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic.

Wilson did not make any comments or field any questions about either the movie or his personal life at the premiere, E! News said.

Following his hospitalization during the summer, the actor has kept a low profile, canceling promotional appearances for the film, including its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival last month.
