Winehouse Cancels MTV Awards Appearance

Current Headlines: Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse has canceled another performance, this one at the annual MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas.

The Sept. 9 cancellation came after she backed out of concert dates in Britain and postponed until next year her North American tour as she recovers from reported drug addiction, NME.com said Wednesday.

Winehouse reportedly is vacationing in St. Lucia with her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, and has visited a drug rehab center in Britain off and on during the past few weeks.
