Ministry to Check Mbc Resources' Fields

Current Headlines: MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax) - Russian natural resources watchdog Rosprirodnadzor will conduct a check of MBC Resources, which holds licenses to a number of subsurface resource deposits.

MBC Resources holds the license to the Verkhne-Menkeche silver and polymetallic ore deposits in Yakutia, the Ozernoye and Kholodninskoye zinc-lead fields, the Nazarovskoye gold-zinc field, and the Talinskoye lignite coal field, the Russian Natural Resources Ministry said in a statement.

The check was initiated by Rosprirodnadzor Deputy Head Oleg Mitvol.

The Polynyansky section of the Bakcharskoye iron ore field in the Tomsk region developed by TomGDK Ruda will also be checked. It will determine whether a number of companies have are in compliance with their license agreements, including: Region-Sirius, Reimpex-Samara- Neftepromysel, Region-Nefteprom in the Samara region, Purnovagaz in Udmurtiya and the Tyumen region and Rosneftegaz GEO in Moscow.

The inspectors will check the rates and level of natural resource development, the volumes of geological exploration work, the presence of project documentation, as well as environmental protection.
