Owen Wilson pleaded in a statement Monday to be allowed to "receive care and heal in private during this difficult time." But the actor's camp isn't shedding any light on Wilson's mysterious hospitalization.

On Monday, the Wedding Crashers actor was in good condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after Santa Monica police responded to a medical call Sunday afternoon. Police confirmed that a person was taken to a hospital for treatment, and a neighbor tells ABC News that police cars, an ambulance and a fire truck were at Wilson's home Sunday.

Wilson, 38, is the middle brother of the Dallas-born Wilson brothers Hollywood family; Luke is 35, Andrew is 43. Luke Wilson was among visitors to Cedars-Sinai on Monday, People.com says.

Owen, who was nominated for an Oscar for 2001's The Royal Tenenbaums, had been filming Tropic Thunder in Hawaii and Los Angeles. The comedy, which is directed by and co-stars Ben Stiller, is due next summer. DreamWorks would not comment on whether Wilson's recovery would affect filming.

Due Sept. 29, is The Darjeeling Limited. Wilson plays a motorcycle crash victim who uses substances to dull his physical and psychological pain. (c) Copyright 2005 USA TODAY, a division of Gannett Co. Inc.
