Amman, 28 August: Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas will pay an impromptu visit to Jordan Wednesday [29 August], which he requested to discuss with Jordanian officials developments in occupied Palestinian lands, Palestinian Ambassador in Amman Atallah Khayri told MENA Tuesday.

The Jordanian-Palestinian talks are to follow a meeting scheduled for later Tuesday between Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

Abbas will brief the Jordanian side on the negotiations he had with Israel.

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will visit the region next month for talks with Abbas and Olmert.
