Hulk's Boy in Crash Horror

Current Headlines: THE son of wrestling star Hulk Hogan may have been racing another car when he lost control of his vehicle at high speed and ploughed into a tree.

Witnesses claimed 17-year-old Nick Bollea's yellow Toyota Supra was racing a silver Dodge Viper along a four-lane highway near his home in Clearwater, Florida.

Police said it was too early to determine what caused the horror crash that left one of the teenager's pals fighting for his life.

Wrestling legend Hogan arrived at the scene shortly after the smash and watched anxiously as both youngsters were cut from the wreckage by firefighters. They were flown by air ambulance to hospital.

Bollea stars with his dad in the MTV reality show Hogan Knows Best and wants to become a professional driver.

He is a fan of high-speed car racing known as "drifting" - trying to keep a rear-wheel drive car sideways for as long as possible.

Bollea's injuries were described as serious but he was released from hospital yesterday.

His passenger, John J Graziano, 22, remained at Bayfront Medical Centre, in nearby St Petersburg, in "critical" condition.

Police said Bollea's car "inexplicably left the roadway" and hit a palm tree.

Clearwater Police spokesman Wayne Shelor said the crash destroyed the car.
