Yanks Fear British Bombers ; Terror Target Scotland

Current Headlines: AMERICA is putting more air marshals on flights from Britain and Europe as terrorism fears mount.

Homeland security chief Michael Chertoff said they would not raise their terror alert level.

But he admitted more sky cops would be on planes as the holiday season arrives.

Chertoff said: "What we're increasingly concerned about is the movement of Europeans, including people with European citizenship, into areas of South Asia to get trained.

"There is then the prospect of these people coming back to carry out operations in Europe or in the US using Europe as a departure point.

"It's one of the reasons we've been very focused on increasing our security for people incoming from Europe."
