MUSIC lovers saw a show to remember at the concert for Princess Diana at London's Wembley Stadium yesterday.

More than 63,000 descended on the multimillion pound venue on what would have been the Princess's 46th birthday.

Sir Elton John, Duran Duran, Take That, Rod Stewart, Joss Stone and Sir Tom Jones, were among the acts at the event organised by Prince William and Prince Harry to mark the tenth anniversary of her death with a celebration of her life.

Dancers from the English National Ballet performed an act from Swan Lake.

Concert goers paid tribute to Diana and her sons. Louise Fowler, from Coventry, said she was at the event to celebrate Diana's life and hear some great music.

She said: "She cared for people and people cared for her."

The 35-year-old's husband, Gary Fowler, 40, added: "I think she would be very proud of her sons.

"They are very well rounded young lads."

Harry delivered a special message to his Household Cavalry squadron serving in Iraq while on stage, telling them he wished he could be there with them.

William told the audience: "We just want you to have an awesome time," before adding: "We have the greatest pleasure in introducing one of mother's favourite bands. It's Duran Duran."

The Princes then took their seats in the Royal Box.

Harry gave girlfriend Chelsy a kiss on the lips as he settled into his place next to her.
