'Pacman' Jones Charged in Bar Incident

Current Headlines: Tennessee cornerback Adam Pacman Jones was charged Wednesday with two counts of felony coercion in connection with a shooting last February.

It is the latest legal problem for the NFL player who has already been suspended by the league.

The incident, which left a bar bouncer paralyzed, took place during the weekend of the NBA All-Star Game. Police said Jones threatened and interfered with the bouncer, who was attempting to protect patrons and employees at the bar.

Two other people were charged in the incident, one with felony coercion and another with felony assault with a deadly weapon. Arrest warrants were issued for those charged.

Because of various run-ins with the law, Jones was suspended for one year by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell April 10. Jones appealed the suspension, but eventually dropped the appeal May 12.
