WASHINGTON, June 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued the following statement today after President Bush once again put politics ahead of science by vetoing the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2007.

The legislation, providing federal funding for life-saving embryonic stem cell research, has the overwhelming support of the American people and passed both the House and Senate with bipartisan support.
