Names of Wisconsin Shooting Victims Released

Jun 11, 05:30 PM

Current Headlines: DELAVAN, Wis. _ As investigators scoured an apartment building Monday for clues into the weekend shooting deaths of six people in this resort town, police released the names of the victims, which includes infant twin brothers, their mother and father, and two other adults.

Police identified the victims as Nicole Marie McAffee, 19, the mother of the twin boys, Argenis Analco and Isaiah Christian Analco; Ambrosio Analco, 23, the father of the twins and McAffee's former boyfriend; Ashley Lynn Huerta, 21, McAffee's sister; and Vanessa L. Iverson, 19, a friend visiting McAffee when Saturday night's shootings occurred.

A third child _ a 2-year-old girl who suffered a gunshot wound in her chest _ remained hospitalized Monday in good condition in Madison, authorities said Monday afternoon. She was found in a car parked outside the apartment building shortly after the shootings.

"We are currently waiting for the pathologist's report from the Walworth County coroner's office," Delavan Police Chief Timothy S. O'Neill said in a prepared statement earlier Monday. "This continues to be an ongoing investigation, and we cannot make any additional comments at this time."

District Attorney Phillip Koss said earlier Monday that authorities believe the shootings stemmed from a domestic dispute.

"I don't know the nature of the domestic dispute, but I know they all knew each other," he said.

Koss said police were investigating the possibility that a man who said he fled from the home and who reported the shooting could have been responsible.

He said one of McAffee's relatives had been interviewed by police about the case.

That relative _ whose identity has not been released _ may have been in the home around the time of Saturday's shootings. Koss said the relative apparently jumped out a second-floor window of the apartment building.

Police said they responded to a call about gunshots around 10:35 p.m. CDT at a duplex on South 2nd Street, just two blocks from the police station. They found all of the dead inside the duplex.

Relatives of Vanessa Iverson were among several people who gathered Monday morning outside the apartment building, where a makeshift memorial of teddy bears, stuffed bunnies, a dinosaur and candles was erected under a tree.
