Heavy Rains Spark Mudslides in Bangladesh

Current Headlines: Rescue workers searched for more victims in Bangladesh Friday after heavy rains caused mudslides killing at least 22 people in the port town of Chittagong.

Officials say a hill partially collapsed onto a shantytown trapping many residents under the rubble, the BBC reports.

Much of Bangladesh has been paralyzed by heavy monsoon rains that began Sunday morning.

Soldiers and fire fighters have been called out to help with rescue operations.

The rains are expected to continue for several days.
