DON't RELEASE ME, I'M GROWING & LEARNING ; Jailbird Hilton's Plea to Lawyers

PARTY girl Paris Hilton has told lawyers not to appeal the decision to send her back to jail - as she is "growing and learning" from it.

But despite Hilton's claims the experience is making her a stronger person, jail insiders say she is on heavy medication to treat depression and has been put on suicide watch.

They have described the hotel heiress as a "train wreck".

She is back behind bars for a second time to serve the remainder of a 45-day sentence for violating probation by driving while banned.

Hilton, 26, had spent just three days in prison before being freed on Thursday to serve the rest of her sentence at home.

A sheriff said she was suffering from a "medical condition". But just 36 hours later she was back in court where judge Michael Sauer, who had originally sentenced her, sent her back to jail.

Hilton was taken from the court sobbing and screaming: "It's not right. Mom! Mom!"

But yesterday, in a statement released by her lawyer, she said: "I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge's decision.

"While I greatly appreciate the sheriff's concern for my health and welfare, I intend to serve my time."

Hilton added: "Being in jail is by far the hardest thing I have ever done.

"I have had a lot of time to think and I believe that I am learning and growing from this experience."

But despite her statement, reports claim she is not coping and has not eaten or slept since returning to jail. When she was first jailed in Lynwood detention centre, she also refused food, to avoid going to the loo.

An insider said: "She was terrified one of the guards or staffers would get her with the cell phone cam and it would wind up on the internet."

Hilton is now being held in a room by herself in the medical ward of the Twin Towers centre.

She is said to have been crying constantly and praying, and is extremely withdrawn.

A sergeant is at her door at all times.

She is also said to be having medical and psychiatric tests to help determine the jail most suitable for her now.
