Current Headlines: JAIL-BOUND Paris Hilton is facing a less than warm welcome from inmates when she starts her sentence.

Women already locked up believe officials will give the hotel heiress special treatment.

Susannah Johnson, released at the weekend from Los Angeles County Jail, said prisoners think extra room is being made for the socialite at the expense of others already coping with crowded conditions in the 2200-bed jail.

Johnson, 35, said: "The only advice I could give her when she comes is to shut her mouth and do the time."

But LA County Sheriff Lee Baca said: "She won't get better food, a different lock-up time or a different environment."

Hilton, 26, has been ordered to turn herself in by Tuesday to begin her sentence for driving while banned in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

Dozens of TV crews have descended on the entrances to the jail awaiting her arrival.

Although a judge sentenced her to 45 days behind bars, Hilton may serve only 23 days because of good behaviour.

She will be housed in the jail's "special needs" unit.

Like other inmates there, Hilton will take meals in her cell and will be allowed outside the 12ft by 8ft space for at least an hour a day for a shower, outdoor recreation, phone calls or to watch TV in the day room.

Inmates are not allowed mobile phones in the jail.

Hilton will have to wear a prison-issue orange jumpsuit and will be given a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, a comb, deodorant, shampoo, shaving implements, a pencil, stationery, envelopes and stamps.
