Current Headlines: Mark DeRosa had a grand slam and finished with five RBI Sunday afternoon, as the Chicago Cubs beat Atlanta, 10-1, to avoid a three-game sweep.

Derrek Lee had three hits, including a home run, and scored three runs for the Cubs, who ended a six-game losing streak and won for only the third time in 13 games -- and played the game without Manager Lou Piniella, who is serving an indefinite suspension for his tirade during Saturday's loss to the Braves.

Sean Marshall (1-2) started and went 6 2/3 innings for Chicago, giving up just one run on six hits, with eight strikeouts and just one walk.

Alfonso Soriano had a single, a triple and a homer, and scored twice for the Cubs.

Lance Cormier (0-1), starting in place of John Smoltz for Atlanta, gave up eight runs on nine hits in four-plus innings. Smoltz sat out with a right-shoulder ailment and an injured finger on his throwing hand.

Kelly Johnson had two hits and Matt Diaz drove in the lone run for the Braves, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
