Whitney Gets Custody; Bobby Vows Appeal

Current Headlines: Bobby Brown said he would appeal an Orange County, Calif., judge's decision awarding singer Whitney Houston custody of their daughter.

Superior Court Judge Franz Miller signed off Wednesday on the terms of the Grammy winner's divorce from Brown, setting April 24 as the day when the divorce is final, E! News said.

According to court documents filed by Houston, 43, she and Brown, 38, had a prenuptial agreement preventing them from amassing community property and paying spousal support, which left only the matter of custody of the couple's 14-year-old daughter, Bobbi Christina.

While Brown wasn't in court for the proceedings, his attorney, Ram Cogan, said that he will file a petition protesting the custody ruling, which provided for reasonable visitation with child, E! News reported.

Houston, who lives in Laguna Hills, Calif., filed for a legal separation in September and then divorce the following month after 14 years of marriage.
