The drugs were missing from prescriptions for 11 medications found in the former Playboy model's hotel room in Florida after her death.

The order for the anti-anxiety drug was less than two weeks old when Smith, 39, died on February 8.

The details appear in documents from the Broward County medical examiner which show the prescriptions, in the name of her lover Howard K Stern, were penned by Los Angeles medic Dr Khristine Eroshevich who briefly travelled with Smith.

Smith died of an accidental overdose of a cocktail of at least nine prescription drugs, an inquest ruled last month.

Meanwhile, it is expected lawyers will next week learn the results of DNA tests on Smith's daughter Dannielynn and Larry Birkhead who claims to be her dad.
