Current Headlines: SYDNEY An earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter Scale occurred off the Solomon Islands last night, prompting a tsunami warning in the South Pacific. The quake struck about 6 miles under the sea floor, about 217 miles north-west of the Solomon capital, Honiara, at 20:39GMT. The Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre issued a warning for the islands and neighbouring Papua New Guinea.
