THIS is the first glimpse of the final Harry Potter book.

It will whet the appetite I of fans who are counting I the days until Harry 1 Potter And The Deathly H Hallows hits book shops n onjuly21.

Author JK Rowling has I revealed that Deathly I Hallows is her favourite book in the series. She said: "While each of the previous Potter books has strong claims on my affection, Deathly Hallows is my favourite and that is the most wonderful way tofinish the series."

The main cover for the book features Harry and pals Ron and Hermione in the throes of new adventures.

The adult version of the book shows a Horcrux - a locket in which Harry's arch enemy, Lord Voldemort, keeps a fragment of his soul to achieve immortality.

JK Rowling is thrilled -and heartbroken - to be saying goodbye to Harry.

She said: "Even while I'm mourning, I feel an incredible sense of achievement.

"I've never felt such a mixture of extreme emotions in my life, never dreamed I could feel simultaneously heartbroken and euphoric."
