'Star Wars' Stamps Revealed

Current Headlines: Fans of the Star Wars movies have begun voting online for their favorite characters that will be featured on 15 U.S. postage stamps in late May.

U.S. Postal Service officials unveiled the 41-cent commemorative stamps Wednesday at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Los Angeles where the first Star Wars movie opened 30 years ago.

Voting for the most popular stamp will continue at uspsjedimaster.com through May 23 and the winner will be announced at the first-day-of-issue ceremony at the Star Wars Celebration IV at the Los Angeles Convention Center on May 25, the postal service said in a news release.

The stamp that gets the most votes will be singled out for honor with a single stamp that will go on sale later this summer.

There are characters from all six movies in the Star Wars series, including Luke Skywalker; Han Solo and Chewbacca; Princess Leia Organa with R2-D2; C-3PO; Yoda; Queen Padme Amidala; Obi-Wan Kenobi as seen in Episodes IV through VI; Anakin Skywalker battling Obi-Wan Kenobi; Darth Vader; Emperor Palpatine; Darth Maul; Imperial Stormtroopers; Boba Fett; the Millennium Falcon; and an X-wing fighter.
