IT is the hottest book of the year - keenly awaited by millions.

And just to crank up the hype that little bit more, the publishers of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows yesterday released these front covers.

The children's edition of the seventh and final instalment in JK Rowling's saga - out on July 21 - features a grownup looking Harry, Hermione and Ron.

The adult cover, left, shows a locket bearing a serpentine "S" - believed to be the horcrux in which evil Lord Voldemort keeps a fragment of his soul.

Rowling has spoken of her sadness at ending Harry adventures. She said: "Saying goodbye has been very hard."
