Current Headlines: UN health experts want heterosexual men in high-risk countries to undergo circumcision as part of the fight against AIDS.

They made the call because of "compelling" evidence it can cut the chance of contracting HIV by up to 60 per cent. But World Health Organisation and UN AIDS experts said men must be aware it only gives partial protection against the virus.

Three trials - in Kenya, Uganda and South Africa - produced "strong evidence" that the procedure could cut the risk of infection.
