Mar 26, 05:46 PM

Current Headlines: The captain of a tour boat that capsized in an upstate New York lake, killing 20 people, was fined $250 and ordered to perform 460 hours of community service.

Warren County District Attorney Kate Hogan told WABC-TV, New York, that survivors and relatives were not happy with the sentence handed to Captain Richard Paris or to Shoreline Cruise Co., which also received a $250 fine.

But she said they got the maximum fines available on the misdemeanor charges connected with the Oct 2, 2005 sinking of the Ethan Allen tour boat on Lake George.

The captain and the company pleaded guilty Monday in Warren County Court.

James Quirk, Shoreline's owner, had no comment. Paris said, It's over.
