Former Mest Singer Arrested in Stabbing

Current Headlines: The former singer for the Chicago punk rock band Mest was arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man during an argument in Studio City, Calif., police said.

Los Angeles police said Anthony Lovato, 26, was being held on $1 million bail pending an investigation into criminal homicide, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday.

Lovato and another man were arguing in an apartment building's parking structure when the victim allegedly punched Lovato, police said. Lovato allegedly pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the unidentified victim, Police said.

Police said the victim was alive when they arrived at the scene, but died later at the hospital.
