Foxy a No-Show in Florida

Current Headlines: Rapper Foxy Brown was nowhere to be found when her time came to appear before a Florida judge, so he ordered her arrest.

Broward County Judge Joel Lazarus issued the arrest warrant when Brown failed to appear in his Fort Lauderdale courtroom for arraignment on battery and resisting police charges, The Miami Herald said.

Brown didn't notify the court that she would not appear and court records did not show that she has hired a lawyer to represent her, the newspaper said.

Brown, 27, whose real name is Inga Marchand, allegedly threw glue and spat at a beauty supply shop owner in Pembroke Pines, Fla., last month after becoming angry that the owner wanted to close. She also allegedly hit a police officer who arrived at the scene, police say.

The singer has legal troubles in her native New York, as well. Earlier this month she pleaded guilty to a probation violation for leaving the state without permission. The judge in that case warned her that any further infractions could result in jail time.

In 2004, she was sentenced to probation and anger management classes after a fight at a nail salon.
