Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program -  .

- Promotes the use of a variety of pest control methods designed to protect public health and the environment, and to produce quality crops and other commodities with the most judicious use of pesticides.

Field Corn and Forage IPM - - Articles, links and educational opportunities at UConn for field corn/forage.

General Pest Management IPM - - Articles of interest to homeowners and commercial growers on insects, nematodes, vertebrates and other pests, along with management methods.

Greenhouse IPM - - Articles pertaining to vegetables, cut flowers, herbaceous perennials, greenhouse tomatoes, insects, diseases and other topics, along with photos and related links.

Home and Grounds IPM - - Integrated Pest Management articles on subjects including Neem-based insecticides, Connecticut's mosquito management program, beneficial fireflies, the Hemlock Wooly Adelgid, growing snap beans and the dogwood borer.

Online Homestudy Courses - - Self-paced, noncredit, self-correcting courses with a certificate issued upon completion. Available to the public as well as to UConn students.

Publications - - Online ordering available for publications on integrated pest management for fruit crops, vegetables, greenhouse, nursery crops, turf and other subject areas.

School IPM - - Information on the Connecticut Integrated Pest Management Program for schools on how to control head lice.

Small Fruit IPM - - Information for growers of strawberries, blueberries, grapes, raspberries, blackberries and other fruits. Articles beneficial for homeowners but control methods are geared for commercial growers.

Tree Fruit IPM - - Articles on integrated pest management for apple and other fruit trees, including control of the boxelder bug.

Turfgrass IPM - - General turfgrass information along with articles on control of insects, weeds and diseases.

Vegetables IPM - - Provides information for growers of tomatoes, peppers, beans, cole crops, corn, cucurbits, potatoes and other vegetable crops. While it may be beneficial to homeowners, control methods will apply to the commercial scale grower.
